Faculty of Computer Science (FIKOM) UDB Surakarta Holds SENATIB 2025: Encouraging MSME Transformation Through AI and Innovative E-Commerce

Surakarta, July 26, 2025 The Faculty of Computer Science, Duta Bangsa University, Surakarta, once again held the National Seminar on Information Technology and Business (SENATIB), an annual scientific forum that has been held since 2017. In 2025, SENATIB carried the theme "Transformation of MSMEs in the Digital Economy Era: Innovative E-commerce Strategies Based on Artificial Intelligence (AI)", and was held online via the Zoom platform.


This event aims to bring together academics, students, IT professionals, MSMEs, and policymakers to discuss strategies and case studies in implementing AI to strengthen local business competitiveness. SENATIB presented three prominent national speakers: Prof. Dr. Ir. Indrabayu, ST., MT., M.Bus.SYS., IPM., AER, Head of the Department of Informatics Engineering, Hasanuddin University, presented the material "AI for MSMEs" with a focus on marketing automation, customer data analysis, and logistics optimization. Ridho Pamungkas, S.Kom., M.Kom, Head of the Information Systems Study Program, PGRI Madiun University, discussed the "Digital Roadmap for MSMEs" which includes AI literacy, demo tools, and supporting infrastructure.


Eko Purwanto, M.Kom., Ph.D., Dean of the Faculty of Computer Science at Duta Bangsa University, presented the topic "Marketing Revolution via AI" through customer segmentation and predictive analytics techniques. The event, held from 9:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. WIB, was divided into plenary sessions, interactive discussions, and parallel sessions for research paper presentations. SENATIB 2025 also presented an award for Best Paper as a token of appreciation for the participants' academic contributions.


The committee chairman, Rudi Susanto, S.Si., M.Si., Ph.D., in his report stated that this year's SENATIB aims not only to broaden understanding of technology but also to bridge concrete collaborations between academics and small and medium-sized businesses in the digital ecosystem. SENATIB 2025 is expected to be a catalyst for the birth of AI-based innovations to encourage MSMEs to move up a class amidst the challenges and opportunities of the digital era.
